Former CUB beer boffin Vic Testolin is distributing a premium European line cleaning product that makes perfect results quicker and easier for beer specialty venues.
A microbiologist turned brewing expert, Testolin’s Dr Draught business has partnered with Austria’s Thonhauser to make available in Australia for the first time the Desana Max product.
The key benefits are fast turnaround and an enzyme in the product that changes colour in the presence of organic contamination. Desana cleans, sanitizes and clearly indicates when potentially product-altering contamination has been eliminated, ensuring the quality of the beer or line product.
Speaking to PubTIC, Dr Draught said the product has been on the market for over 10 years and is used by both Coca-Cola Amatil and Heineken in Europe.
It is primarily used in venues striving for premium beer quality, and the quick, precise cleaning process is particularly good in beer venues that turn over and swap a lot of different beers.
