Stone & Wood has partnered with KBC to produce “one of the world’s greatest drinking innovations” in the Sneaky Bucha of Byron.
The Bucha of Byron is a range produced by the Kombucha Brewing Co. (KBC). This latest release in partnership with Stone & Wood introduces a whole new category to the Australian market, combining “the goodness of kombucha with the greatness of beer”.
Kombucha is said to be the fastest-growing beverage category in the country, embodying both refreshment and health benefits.
Sneaky Bucha blends a range of beer styles with the original Bucha of Byron kombucha, for a full-strength beer that is at least 25 per cent lower in carbs than regular full-strength beers – addressing the growing consumer demand for low-calorie.
Coming in at four per cent ABV, the new drink is reminiscent of a shandy in taste, but with the subtle kick of a kombucha. The three beer style variants are: XPA, Lager and Summer.
“There’s a lot of hype around alcoholic seltzers coming into this summer and the Sneaky Bucha appeals to the same unisex, health-conscious crowd, being lower carb, but does it with something we know Aussie drinkers love – beer,” offers KBC co-founder Paul Tansley.
The Sneaky Bucha expands the Bucha of Byron’s existing portfolio, including Dirty Bucha – blending premium spirits with kombucha.
KBC reports to PubTIC Sneaky Bucha is set to be released in kegs for pubs, but the keg launch has been delayed due to covid restrictions.
