ROMANO’S HITS THE MARKET

barmaid with shooters_FB_crp_adj_smlOne of regional NSW’s best-loved pubs has come on the market, amid high market expectations.

John Hussey is putting his Romano’s Hotel up for auction to concentrate on his businesses in his home State of Queensland.

NSW’s largest inland city, Wagga Wagga is home to over 60,000 people and a hub for agriculture, transport and the military in the region.

Hussey, who has operated venues in both States and owned Romano’s since 2000, told PubTIC he has engaged specialist regional agents Chris Tinning & Co to market the property, which will go to auction in Sydney on 17 September.

Agent Nick Tinning refuses to put a limit on what the popular local watering hole may fetch on the market, in a record-breaking year for hospitality real estate.

“The pub is a freehold going concern, with plenty of upside,” Tinning told PubTIC. “We are certainly expecting plenty of interest.”

The iconic red hotel is trading well, but there is currently no smoking solution and it possesses 15 EGMs in a level one SIA district.
