The Waugh’s Public House Management Group has officially opened the Mosman chapter of Bistro Moncur, in the newly renovated The Buena.

Bistro Moncur Mosman expands on the preeminent installation at PHMG’s Woollahra Hotel, one of the original champions of the gastro pub ideal.

PHMG teamed up with celebrity chef Guillaume Brahimi late last year, unleashing the charismatic French-born connoisseur on the menus of its portfolio, and steering the creation of the new North Shore Moncur.

Within the renovated Buena, Bistro Moncur enjoys a spacious dining room and bar, hued in “calming green and blue” and sporting elegant floor-to-ceiling windows, looking out to a Parisian-styled alfresco courtyard with retractable awning. Wood, copper and marble bench tops continue the earthy décor.

The Waughs reported to PubTIC the Mosman outlet could be the first of future extensions of the Moncur brand, although likely the last in Sydney.

Bistro Moncur Mosman is open for dinner Tuesday to Thursday, and for lunch and dinner Friday to Sunday.
