NORTHCOTE SOCIAL ROLLS OUT SPEED DATING

Legendary home to Melbourne gregariousness, the Northcote Social Club, is lining up to help the lonely single citizens unsatisfied by their experiences on online dating apps.

The Club is calling for anyone “looking for love” in and around Northcote to the lofty All Gender Speed Dating Nights.

Putting out the call to those tired of spending their social time swiping through the apps, suffering “sore thumbs and bruised egos”, NSC is bringing back its old-timey nights for stray singles.

Each evening session will run for approximately 45 minutes and be hosted by NSC’s resident matchmaking, drink-slinging love doctor, Joe.

The pub was opened by Mat Everett’s Riverland Group in 2005 and is now operated by Ross Kennett’s sociable outfit, along with Richmond’s The Nash, and nearby live music legend The Corner, also previously owned by Riverland.

The love-matching sessions will begin on Sunday, 16 July, at 5pm.

Slated are four separate speed dating nights, dedicated to: straight, gay, lesbian and GSD (gender and sexuality diverse).

Entry is free, but there will be a strictly limited number of seats available.
