HOSPITALITY’S FUTURE ON SHOW AT HOSPOFUTURE EXPO 2026

Victorian hospitality operators will have a chance to step away from the floor and get a closer look at what is shaping the future of the industry when HospoFuture Expo returns to the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Tuesday, 20 October, for its fifth year.

Running from 9am to 5pm, the one-day event will bring together hospitality operators, suppliers, industry experts and peers for a program focused on the issues, ideas and innovations influencing the way venues operate.

For AHA (Vic) GM of Member Experience & Compliance, Kimberley Malcolm, the expo is an opportunity for operators to get out and spend time looking at where the industry is heading.

“HospoFuture Expo is a great opportunity for hospitality professionals to step away from the day-to-day, discover new ideas and hear from those shaping the future of our industry,” Malcolm said.

“If you’re serious about keeping your venue and team ahead of the curve, it’s well worth attending,” she added.

The program will cover leadership, resilience, consumer trends, technology and the changing expectations of Australian customers.

Bianca Adler, the youngest Australian to summit Mount Everest, will deliver the keynote, The Next ASCENT, sharing lessons from her experiences with preparation, resilience and leadership.

Award-winning speaker Lucy Allen will explore how leaders approach problems and respond to change in Think Again, before joining Adler for an in-conversation session covering major change, restructure and growth.

Consumer trends will also be under the microscope, with Unilever Food Solutions’ Nigel Guthrie looking towards 2030 and exploring the trends expected to influence Australian diners and the foodservice industry.

For operators, the expo floor will provide an opportunity to meet suppliers and investigate new products, services and technology that could help improve venue operations, customer experience and profitability.

Just as importantly, the event gives Victorian operators an opportunity to compare notes with their peers, make new connections and take practical ideas back to their venues.

With hospitality continuing to navigate rising costs, workforce challenges and changing customer expectations, understanding what is coming next could prove just as important as managing what is happening today.
