Fresh from the party vat after its recent Hottest beer triumph, Feral Brewing Company has released no less than three “new beers to squeal about”.
For the third year in a row, Feral’s Hop Hog was recently voted the best of the best in the Local Taphouse’s prestigious Hottest 100 beer list.
Up against more than 1800 entries, Feral landed six brews in this year’s list and acknowledges the support of beer venues in growing the sector.
“We are stoked and honoured to receive the top gong for the Hottest 100 for a third year in a row,” Feral’s NSW Sales Manager, Steve Pickup, told PubTIC. “It’s a testament to the dedication of our team and our supporters.
“It’s fantastic to see publicans understanding the benefits of Australian craft beer and many are moving away from the large brewery-driven contracts in exchange for craft beer tap points. Customers are responding by seeking out these craft beer venues.
“We are excited to be leading the charge for craft beer here in Australia.”
The new releases now available are:
Robust Nut Porter
6.7% – Porter – 30 IBU – OG 1072
RNP is a typical English-style robust porter, with a twist. Full of rich chocolate malt character, slick creamy mouthfeel and finishing off with a hint of peanuts. To quote Austin Powers: “it’s a bit nutty”.
Allergy warning – contains nuts
Cat IPA
8% – American IPA – 55 IBU – OG 1070
Cat IPA is an American-style IPA, booming with passionfruit and citrus aromas, pawing at your nose like a jerk cat at 4am. The 8% ABV is balanced with a generous amount of bitterness and a dry, dank, resinous finish that clings on harder than the cat in that iconic motivational poster
Pumpkin Bumpkin
7.2% – Saison – 50 IBU – OG 1062
Pumpkin Bumpkin is a pumpkin pie-spiced saison. We started by roasting 100kg of butternut pumpkin and adding 50kg of pumpkin meat to the mash. Then we generously dosed with the typical pumpkin pie spice mix of nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon and allspice, giving this beer a silky, well rounded mouthfeel and a lingering spiced finish.
