Hurley hospitality legends of the City of Churches have been immortalised on the label of a special edition West End Draught.
Former AHA National President, SA President and acclaimed entrepreneur Peter Hurley was featured on limited cartons of Lion’s West End Draught a few years ago, honouring his time in the national role.
Peter and Jenny Hurley have a stable of 11 pubs in South Australia, and have long supported charitable organisations through events and fundraising in the hotels.
The Group’s Chip in for Mary Potter annual golf day has raised over $700,000, the last seven years counting Lion as joint major sponsor of that event as well as other initiatives.
Jenny Hurley reports the revised West End labels, featuring Peter and herself over caption of “Well done on service to the Industry” came as a pleasant shock, and she thanks their long-time partners.
“I was surprised and honoured that they did a label with both our faces on. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine my face on a stubby of beer!
“Not sure my Methodist / Presbyterian ancestors would approve!”
