GAMING EXPO PLAYS OUT FOR 2022

The 31st Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) took place last week, welcoming a reported 7,300+ industry delegates through the ICC Sydney over three days.

Beyond the more than 220 exhibitors on the show floor, the return of the AGE also signalled return of its data-driven two-day seminar program, welcoming large audiences to discuss industry topics relating to cashless gaming, staffing, marketing, and more.

“We’d like to extend a huge thank you and congratulations to everyone who made AGE 2022 another stand-out event,” says Jinesh Patel, CEO of the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA), which operates the Expo.

“We’re thrilled with the quality of visitors, the enthusiasm of the exhibitors and the professionalism of our venue host, ICC Sydney.”

This year’s coveted ‘Best Stand’ award went to Tempus Two, which offers to service “all your on-premise wine and cocktail needs”, while the new ‘Steve Cowan Memorial Award’ – presented to a new exhibitor for innovation and participation in the industry – was issued to Industric, for providing high-quality bases, screens, custom joinery and design for gaming rooms.

Inside Asian Gaming (IAG) was the official media and production partner for the event, producing official show guide ‘Inside AGE’, featuring interviews with leading industry executives, hot topics and an exhibitor showcase.

The AGE Road to Recovery Networking Lunch tackled hot topics surrounding the industry, generating discussion among panellists Aristocrat CEO and MD Trevor Croker, Laundy Hotels’ Craig Laundy, and Bankstown Sports Club CEO Mark Condi.

In another return to tradition, three lucky AGE visitors won a trip to Las Vegas to visit the Global Gaming Expo, G2E. Announced daily on the show floor, the lucky winners heralded from The Fraternity Club, Taren Point Bowling Club, and Algester Sports Club.

“AGE strives to deliver a bigger and better show year on year for all our stakeholders,” stresses Patel.

“With a core focus on technology and the sustainability of the gaming industry, we believe 2022 has delivered maximum value and a satisfying experience for visitors, exhibitors and sponsors.”

The 32nd Australasian Gaming Expo will take place 15-17 August, 2023.
