A Perth pub has hit the market – two years ahead of its opening the doors.
Slated as part of the in-progress Lakelands Private Estate, the Lakelands Tavern is being offered for Expressions of Interest by national property developer Peet Limited.
The purpose-built hotel will be on a generous block within the burgeoning Lakelands Town Centre, which is expected to become a “vibrant community hub” for residents, with a retail precinct including anchor tenants, dining and entertainment options, medical and childcare and more.
Located 65 kilometres south of Perth, Peet’s Lakelands Private Estate is an engineered community, already home to around 1,400 households with another 1,000 planned for coming years.
CBRE Hotels’ Ryan McGinnity, who is marketing the off-the-plan sale in “one of Western Australia’s fastest-growing communities”, says industry is already registering interest.
“We have had a number of enquiries from predominately local (WA) operators,” McGinnity told PubTIC.
“There is very little competition, and it’s a great, emerging locality.
“With the developer committing to the building, operators are keen to get in at the ground level, to create a pub / tavern design, to establish a very functional venue.
“We suspect we will receive a number of EOIs at the close of the campaign.”
The Lakelands Tavern is due for completion in 2017, and being offered on a 20-year lease. Expressions of Interest close Thursday, 10 September, 2015.
