BENCHMARK DATA: BEER AND SCHNITTY

Data from hundreds of pubs offers insights on the prices being charged and paid on a range of classic pub items.

Advanced at-table and mobile ordering platform me&u is used at over 500 pubs in Australia, including those of Merivale, Rockpool and Solotel, and soon all of ALH’s 330+ venues.

POS data provided to PubTIC shows some interesting benchmarks on standard menu items, such as:

Chicken schnitzels – averaging $21.00 in 2021

Carlton Draught – averaging in 2021

  • $19.56 for a jug
  • $11.36 for a pint or
  • $8.07 for a schooner

Beer prices in Sydney show significant fluctuation across the major population zones in both mainstream and craft beers. (Note: the ‘Basket’ of beers price is an average of a schooner of Carlton Draught, 4Pines Pacific Ale, Furphy, Hahn Superdry and Stone & Wood Pacific Ale.)
