Australian Venue Co is about to unveil its lavishly renovated and rebranded Bonny View Hotel, looking to snag families through kid-focused entertainment and quality dining.
Bald Hills’ former Bonny View Tavern, built in the 1930s, has undergone a $1.3 million renovation under the guidance of Brisbane architects Push.
The exterior has been completely revamped for a contemporary and welcoming look that speaks to the extensive work done within, now also including a new kids’ area and dog-friendly zone.
A new modern dining room ushers a relaxed, family-friendly environment, with the inside seating seamlessly flowing to the outdoor and a grazing menu designed with alfresco spaces in mind.
The “elevated, gastro-pub-style experience” offers pub classics and regional specialties, as well as new-age alternatives such as plant-based bangers & mash and the Bonny View’s signature dish – the chicken parmi hot dog*.
At the front of the pub is classic public bar, complete with live acoustic music on the weekends, screens to watch live sport, a revamped gaming room and a TAB. The public bar leads to an attractive covered outdoor deck sure to be popular in the summer months.
Bonny View Hotel, in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, will burst open to the public again Thursday, 20 August, hosting an opening weekend party that will include a free food and beverage evening, family fun day and 150 free parmi dogs.
