Gaming services provider Ebet has begun rolling out its new next generation ‘Evolve’ platform in live venues.
Central to Evolve is a dynamic NFC-enabled (Near Field Communication) interface that makes it faster and easier for customers to connect, requiring them to simply tap the interface with a physical card or digital wallet, without need to install any apps.
Most smartphones now have NFC technology built in and the system has been designed to feel more like these than traditional player loyalty interfaces, moving away from functional designs to a more modern, engaging experience in line with technology and machines.
The NFC display adapts to the player’s session, whether signing in, resuming play or interacting with their account.
Evolve is designed to evolve with the industry as digital payments, compliance and customer expectations continue to shift, and also introduces enhanced capability through:
- Real time, connected data across gaming and venue systems
- Stronger compliance and reporting capability aligned to evolving requirements
- A foundation for future cashless functionality
- More effective, data-driven customer engagement
Installations began 25 March, as part of a structured field trial and validation phase. The focus is on performance in production environments and the future broader rollout, along with regulator-related testing requirements.
The rollout is expected to accelerate as venues move to modernise their gaming and customer platforms.
Australian owned and operated, Ebet builds technology enabling smarter, more connected gaming venues. It boasts more than 25 years of industry expertise, delivering an integrated hardware and software ecosystem now deployed in over 500 venues, connecting more than 33k gaming machines.
Coming after extensive testing and regulatory assessment, Ebet sees the installation of Evolve into live venues as a key milestone.

“This is where Evolve moves into real venue environments,” says CEO and MD Frank Makryllos.
Beyond the current requirements, when digital wallets become enabled within the regulatory framework, Makryllos suggests it sets the foundation for what comes next.
“It’s a platform designed to connect systems, simplify the customer experience and support venues as the industry evolves.”
