TAFE NSW is rolling out its ‘Have Your Say Survey 2025’ – to gather the thoughts of the people, with the goal of better understanding local needs and aspirations.
The survey is available to all people in NSW, asking questions as to whether the training, support services and facilities at TAFE meet the needs of the community, if they foster opportunities for education and employment, and what more can be done to help communities.
Information from responses will be used to shape and inform the education provider’s local planning and events.
TAFE is encouraging pub and club owners and operators to get involved, to help ensure a broad range of perspectives are captured in the survey. It’s thought this will lead to more meaningful and actionable insights.
“Their feedback is crucial in shaping policies and initiatives that directly impact their industry,” explained Kurt Beahan, TAFE NSW manager of community engagement.
Ways venues could support the initiative include:
- Encouraging staff to complete the survey, to provide a view of industry experiences
- Posting a flyer in the venue to increase awareness among patrons and staff
- Raising the survey at the next local liquor accord meeting, to drive broader industry participation
People can respond either as individuals or on behalf of a business or community group, guiding TAFE NSW to better support community needs, aspirations and challenges.

“When we understand these, we can better deliver effective, meaningful services that meet those needs,” explains Beahan.
“We know that pubs and clubs play a leading role in many communities across NSW, and we know that every community is different.”
The survey takes around 10 minutes to complete.
It is open until Monday, 31 March 2025 at Have Your Say survey.
