Rugby Australia has announced innovative pub group Funlab as an official partner of Community Rugby for 2025, connecting fans and aligning brands.
Funlab is a pioneer of ‘competitive socialising experiences’, with over 50 locations across Australia, New Zealand and the USA. The group boasts multiple brands: Holy Moley, Hijinx Hotel, Archie Brothers, Cirque Electriq and Strike Bowling.
The new sponsorship deal means every player at every junior club – from under-8s to under-18s – who registers for the 2025 season will receive a voucher for an activity, to be used at any Funlab venue across the country (subject to conditions).

Rugby Australia (RA) says the partnership will extend the enjoyment of playing rugby, with friends, off field.
“We thank Funlab for their support of Community Rugby and together are looking forward to a big year for the game in Australia,” says RA’s director of Community Rugby, Michael Procajlo.
Both companies suggest core values that align, finding fun is “at the heart of everything” they do.
“At Funlab we believe that the world is better when we fun together,” chimes Funlab CEO Michael Schreiber.
Outlining the opportunity to take up the sponsorship, the team at Funlab say it comes back to a dedication to inspiring competitive socialising, and feel a relationship with sport is “a perfect match” for their approach.
“First and foremost, fun is at the heart of everything we do at Funlab,” furthers Schreiber.
“We find that sentiment is shared through Rugby Australia’s values for their junior grassroots sporting program.”
While the sponsorship is currently slated for 2025, the company says ‘watch this space’ in coming seasons as it builds on the synergies.
“Partnering with Rugby Australia is a great opportunity to extend the friendships, camaraderie and teamwork of rugby into our venues, with a unique dash of fun added!”
