FROST LISTS THE OAKS

Long-time publican Barrie Frost has called time, listing his last pub – The Oaks, The Oaks.

The Oaks is an idyllic suburb on the outskirts of the metro, around 12 kilometres west of Camden, around 75 from the CBD, in a growth corridor of south-west Sydney alongside Campbelltown and Narellan.

The Oaks Hotel is on a big 1-Ha block, incorporating a bar and bistro, gaming room with 17 EGMs, and drive-through bottleshop, and lends itself to collaborative development.

The operation is leased until November 2019, with no further options, paying $364k rent annually.

Frost formerly owned the Tathra Hotel, and as he looks to retire he has listed the freehold interest of The Oaks with Ray White Hotels’ Blake Edwards.

“The asset is a perfect mix of gaming and development upside potential, with the 17 gaming machines and 10,050sqm of land,” says Edwards.

While currently a passive freehold asset, the short lease is likely to attract acquisitive operators looking to a freehold going concern opportunity in Sydney’s booming market.

“The Hotel enjoys a large exclusive catchment of customers, with the closest pubs being in Camden and Picton, each approximately 12 minutes away.”

The Oaks Hotel freehold is being offered by way of Private Treaty.
