CALLIGEROS DIVES INTO DRY JULY

The Calligeros Group is getting in the spirit of no alcohol in time for the annual month of Dry July, ranging an on-trend collection of alcohol-free beers and beverages across the group.

Throughout July Calligeros pubs are running an authorised Dry July promotion, offering patrons a special menu of mainstream and craft non-alcoholic beers, gins and mocktails.

A dollar from every sale will be donated to the Foundation.

The Dry July Foundation is the registered charity behind the Dry July campaign, dedicated to helping improve the comfort, care and wellbeing of people affected by cancer, making “a difficult time a little easier”.

Since Dry July began in 2008 the campaign has raised over $60 million dollars, for a procession of projects and measures in support of cancer patients, their families and carers.

The boozeless menu will be available across all four Calligeros venues. Carlton & United Breweries (CUB) will have a prominent place, with both Carlton Zero and Great Northern Zero amongst the increasing number of low- and no-alcohol products gaining popularity.

“I go through everything we sell at the pubs, and the biggest selling package beer at the Rag & Famish is Carlton Zero. Outsold Corona,” explains Pete Calligeros.

Also joining the line-up is Heaps Normal, bringing Quiet XPA, Nort Beer, with its successful Refreshing Ale, soon to be joined by three more new releases, and the full Sobah Beverages non-alcoholic range will be available, including the Lemon Aspen Pilsner, Finger Lime Cerveza, and Pepperberry IPA.

Dry July will be going down in Calligeros venues the Rag & Famish Hotel and Terrace Hotel, in North Sydney, the Trinity Hotel in Surry Hills and Tilly Mays upstairs, and the Bellevue Hotel in Paddington.

“The money raised goes to a great cause, and some punters clearly want the option.

“All next month we’re telling people ‘Don’t let the DRY mean Goodbye to your local!’”
