THREE MEN STABBED IN MELBOURNE VENUE

Police are seeking two men in relation to a violent altercation in a venue in Melbourne’s CBD on Sunday morning when three men were stabbed, leaving one in critical condition.

Around 6am at busy adult entertainment club Men’s Gallery, on the corner of Lonsdale and King streets, opposite the Colonial Hotel and diagonally opposite the defunct Kilkenny Inn, it’s reported two groups of men are thought to have gotten into a violent disagreement.

Police were called, and emergency services transported two men to hospital – one having sustained life-threatening injuries. The other man’s injuries were described as ‘serious’. A third man suffered a wound to his arm and took himself to hospital.

Officers were unable to apprehend two alleged offenders, who fled the scene on foot. A crime scene was established and police cordoned off the area. The intersection was closed, with Lonsdale Street stopped in both directions as detectives investigated.

According to a patron, the strip club was “packed” with more than 100 people, but no apparent signs of trouble prior to the incident.

As yet no arrests have been made.
