THE TERMINUS TAKES A WIN AT THE STABLES

The Terminus Yarrawonga, a local favourite on the Victorian side of the New South Wales border, unveiled the venue’s new beer garden last month, ‘The Stables’.

A cool $1.75 million renovation has completely revamped the former stable site, keeping the original look and feel of the space while creating an entertainment and hospitality hub for locals and visitors alike.

To celebrate the opening of The Stables, last weekend saw live music, kids’ entertainment and free food flowing.

Visitors are first met by wide barn doors – an exclusive side entrance to the space. With sandy floors and exposed beams matched with corrugated iron and offset by greenery, The Stables at Terminus’ vast entertainment space has a capacity for 375 people. The area is tastefully broken up by expansive seating areas of various types, a large playground for the kids and a mega screen for sporting events.

With the kids and the sports fans entertained, locals are also happy with The Stables’ weekly specials, as well as weekly trivia and monthly karaoke events.

The kitchen serves up a mix of current and future pub classics, with an emphasis on top quality steaks, as well as an extensive snack menu for those who just want to graze.

Terminus Yarrawonga doesn’t stop there, boasting a Local Heroes program raising funds for the Lions Club through the sales of every parma sold on a Wednesday. The Lions Club supports Yarrawonga’s local charity Turban Angels, who help people through their chemotherapy journey.

There are also plans for The Stables to eventually become a venue for weddings and events, and senior operations manager Mitch Harris says it hopes to be welcoming to all.

“The Terminus Yarrawonga is an iconic pub and we look forward to it being a family-friendly activity hub for everyone”.
