THE BROOK IS BACK, AND BETTER

Australian Leisure & Hospitality has ramped up its investment in the Sunshine State, reopening the Brook Hotel in Mitchelton after a massive redevelopment costing nearly $31 million.

Set on a massive site on an arterial corner of Osbourne Road in the northern Brisbane suburb, the Hotel now includes public bar, sports bar, bistro, indoor kids’ entertainment play area with a TV and interactive games, plus an outdoor area with giant chess board, handball and basketball courts.

The project includes a 40-room accommodation facility, soon to be completed, plus there is a large Dan Murphy’s on site.  

And there are additional features that make the venue uniquely Queensland.

Following unseasonal winter rain leaving farmers pleading for support for the industry, the Brook now offers two signature cocktails crafted around Queensland’s abundant supply of pineapples, being the Honey & Pineapple, and the Toasted Coconut margaritas. 

ALH also went to lengths to retain the iconic 60-year-old Moreton Bay fig tree out front, adorning it with seven and a half kilometres of fairy lights.

This redevelopment represents ALH’s largest investment into a Queensland venue to date.

To welcome the community, the operators are hosting a “family fun day” this weekend – Sunday, from midday – featuring face painters, children’s arts and crafts, and live entertainment.

    Had dinner Friday night what a disgrace bad food expensive drinks 2 hour what for dinner managers didn’t seem to care about it appears to be the go for the place had 21 person for birthday shocking experience ever in my 68 years
