TERMINUS YARRAWONGA HAS A NEW NEIGHBOUR

Former Neighbours star Scott McGregor has unveiled he is the owner of the newly refinished Terminus Hotel in Yarrawonga.

Built 1882, the ‘Termo’ has been a reliable local for the northern Victorian town. Following the national closure in March, in June its social media pages whispered of new owners and “lots of exciting things to come”.

Scott McGregor, born in 1981 in Albury, less than 100 kilometres from Yarrawonga, worked as a model and TV presenter before joining the cast of Neighbours in 2010 as Detective Mark Brennan, where aside from a year away he was a regular until 2019.

Now after half a year reworking the tired watering hole McGregor took to Instagram to spruik the new-look soon-to-reopen Terminus, boasting a modern fit-out, elegant dining space and gastro-pub menu styling to be “different” to what the locals have seen before.

Yarrawonga is found 270km north of Melbourne and home to nearly 8,000 people.

The Terminus was acquired by a small syndicate of investors, with McGregor serving as a face for the operation, as well as bringing a splash of his pre-celebrity life for the new logo and look.

“So… we bought a pub!! 😝🍺

“We are SO close to opening after a long 6 months of renovating this beautiful old girl in Yarrawonga, Victoria, near the banks of the mighty Murray River (Built in 1882!)

“I even managed to get back on the design tools and did the logo and branding (I was a designer prior to being Ramsay Streets finest C-Grade Police officer)… let me know what you think!

“Cant wait to be able to open the doors and sit and enjoy a beer with the great bunch of lads who all own her!!”
