PUBTIC PRESENTS HOSPOHEROES

Next week Sydney will see the latest instalment of the Australasian Gaming Expo take place at the ICC, with the customary gambit of hospitality gold and industry education – including the 2023 seminar by PubTIC (and ClubTIC), bringing HospoHeroes.

The Expo will be open to industry professionals from Tuesday 15 to Thursday 17 August, at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour.

Upstairs, in the seminar rooms, a program of educational sessions will enlighten operators on some of the latest thinking and gadgetry of the hospitality industries.

But at 1pm the major event shapes up as esteemed pub and club operators come by invitation to battle it out in the inaugural HospoHeroes competition.

Two mixed panels will attempt to answer questions on the nuts and bolts of business, historic milestones of Australian hospitality and other pivotal social subjects, vying for points and the chance to win free subscriptions to PubTIC and ClubTIC – and maybe whatever we can find lying around.

Amongst the competitors will be the CEO of mega-club West HQ, Richard Errington, CEO of Club Charlestown, Michael Gray, and CEO of North Bondi RSL, Jason Linke, alongside a surprise and slightly startled posse of publicans including Hunter bandits and a pinch-hitter from the intrepid Tilley & Wills.

Entry to the Expo and seminars is free for industry, but places are limited in the seminar rooms and the early birds are more likely to catch somewhere to sit.
