PUBS SAVING TIME AND MONEY WITH DIGITAL TAKINGS SHEET

New custom software for the hospitality industry is revolutionising the dreaded ‘Daily Takings’ sheet, saving operators time and giving them confidence in accuracy and reporting.

Wirely was designed specifically for hospitality, to provide clear visibility and tight control over all transactions processed. It saves hours of labour by streamlining the daily cash-up process, while also minimising the risk of theft, human error and poor practice.

It connects multiple systems, including POS, gaming, ATMs, and CRTs, making the cash-up process simple.

It also provides in-depth reporting, including live wages, sales and forecasting, and easily integrates with accounting software. This can further streamline accounting processes, with bookkeepers able to easily pull customised data.

More than 150 venues across NSW, Victoria and Queensland are already using Wirely, such as the Manly Wharf Hotel, Watson’s Bay Hotel, Imperial Erskineville, and Lennox Head Hotel. Operators report shaving significant time off end of day processes and reducing variances.

“It’s an exciting time to be partnering with Wirely,” says Laundy Hotels GM Nick Tindall.

“Their electronic DTS is seamless and we have already saved hundreds of hours in gathering data and producing reports. Their live wages kicked off at our new pub in Evans Head this week.”

JEG Hotels have the system at their Empire Hotel, Southern Railway, The Argyle, and the Surrey Hotel in Redfern, and note the onboarding process was quick and painless.

“I’m very happy to now be able to have live visibility of all areas, on one interface, across my pubs,” says JEG principal Adrian Guest.

“I’ve wanted a genuine web-based DTS that captures everything for a while, and now we have it. It has also tightened up cash controls significantly in the short time since we have joined.”

Recognising a need in the hospitality sector for a simple and robust end of day reporting system, Nick Chernin and Simon Etchells teamed up to create Wirely.

Chernin brings a background in analytics and optimisation, working for the past 15+ years boosting businesses through smarter software creating efficiencies. He founded analytics company Streamline Analytics, and is CTO of Wirely.

Etchells, CEO, brings over 15 years’ experience in SAAS (Software As A Service) and is a former market manager for Dimmi (now known as The Fork), giving him a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and its operations.

Etchells says pubs have been using outdated and time-consuming systems for too long, and finally the “dreaded Daily Takings sheet goes digital” with Wirely.

“The antiquated excel spreadsheet is used in venues right across the country – for everything from performing safe counts and movements, to recording daily sales, gaming, TAB & Keno and petty cash transactions.

“To date there has be no modern alternative, but Wirely exists to fill that gap.”

Wirely is also a SAAS system, offering a monthly subscription model, starting from less than $15 a day.
