A group of hospitality specialist graphic designers has launched a product to take the cost and stress out of creating promotional material for pubs.
Pre-launch research found that operators saw a need for a template-based catalogue for designing promo posters and social media, rather than working with external designers. This was largely due to the delay and costs of the bespoke work and difficulty in having to supply a detailed brief.
Easil launched 1 July, offering a library of templates for every type of hospitality event. Pubs simply choose a preferred style of artwork to fit the promotion, and tweak it to fit their own branding. Designs can be easily re-sized to fit any use, such as flyers, posters, Facebook or in-house digital displays.
Also, the company offers a competitively priced full print and delivery facility for all physical promo products.
Speaking to PubTIC, managing director Annette McDonald says the product makes it easy for un-trained people to create effective, professional artwork at low cost.
“Easil’s design templates can be used by anyone to create campaigns with a very professional look.
“Using simple online customisation tools, designs can be tailored to a specific venue and resized to be consistent for various uses for both print and social media.”
The company was formed by software engineers and a team of professional graphic designers, which is on hand if a more customised design is required. “Each graphic designer working on the team has had several years of experience with working with clients requiring food, bar, gaming and entertainment promotions,” reports McDonald.
Customisation can be as simple as updating details for the message, or a complete overhaul incorporating images, fonts, content, logos and colours. The software is easy to use and learning to fully customise takes just minutes.
Easil offers a free service with thousands of templates, and a low-cost subscription service for hospitality operators that adds over 1,500 hospitality-specific templates, such as Mother’s Day, Melbourne Cup, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, ‘What’s On’, food and drink promotions and gaming/competition promotions. Another 100 hospitality templates are added each month.
The subscription also provides hundreds of premium industry-focused stock images for use in the designs, and a Favourites function that stores the client’s logos and commonly used graphics.
The company is running an introductory rate for the Hospitality Subscription until the end of August.
