NEW STILL OR SPARKLING WINE BY THE GLASS SYSTEM

Australian wine icon De Bortoli has devised a new system for venues to serve still or sparkling wine on tap, by the glass, for ongoing savings.

The Griffith-based De Bortoli Wines has created its new, patented Wine By the Glass system. It is compact, convenient and portable.

Selected zones allow white wine and rosé to be served chilled from the fridge, and red wine at ambient temperature. The system was designed to ensure it delivered quality wine, served as if it came straight from the bottle.

The taps sport distinctive fonts, such as the white fonts on the still wine system, to make them unique and stand out, and they are branded with the De Bortoli badge consumers recognise.

The sparkling system has a bright blue font to reflect the De Bortoli King Valley Prosecco. The system is said to serve a perfect pour with excellent effervescence every time, and is a massive time-saver compared to opening multiple bottles of sparkling.

Being compact, it can be mobile, to be used in temporary settings such as functions or pop-up bars.

Wine by the glass is a cost-effective way to serve, saving time, energy and resources. It reduces overall wastage and eliminates half-filled leftover bottles.

De Bortoli is supplying commercial products in 10-litre boxes, available in six of its brands: King Valley Prosecco, 3 Tales Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Woodfired Heathcote Shiraz, Bella Riva King Valley Pinot Grigio and Regional Reserve Yarra Valley Pinot Noir.

The company is owned and operated by the De Bortoli family. It began when Vittorio De Bortoli came to NSW from Castelcucco in 1924. A few years later, he purchased a 55-acre farm the same year there was a local glut of shiraz grapes; he crushed 15 tonnes of free grapes and De Bortoli Wines was born.

De Bortoli reports all its Wine By The Glass varietals are vegan-friendly.

Wine By The Glass is available to venues across the east coast.
