Western Australia’s iconic Burlington Hotel, one of only four remaining Gold Rush pubs in Bunbury, is set to receive a new lease of life with new owners.
This will be the first time in more than three decades that the pub has changed hands.
Stepping up are Fiona Hutchinson and Brendan Craig, who promise to update the appeal of the heritage listed favourite while continuing to respect its 126-year legacy.
The Burlington Hotel has been a key feature of Bunbury’s coastal resort charm since it opened in 1899, and Hutchinson and Craig are committed to revitalising both the hotel and the surrounding CBD area by building community connection.
The pair are also keen to continue the pub’s rock legacy, promoting local and national acts while establishing a vibrant social centre.

With plans for a wide range of activities and entertainment throughout the week, as well as a refresh of its hotel rooms, the owners are creating a go-to destination less than two hours south of Perth.
Hutchinson and Craig bring a wealth of experience, both commercially and operationally, as well as a strong passion for community engagement.
Hutchinson said the pair were thrilled with the new venture.
“The Burlington Hotel holds a special place in the hearts of locals, and we are eager to honour its history while introducing exciting new elements to the space.
“Our goal is to make the hotel a vibrant part of the Bunbury community and offer new experiences for both locals and visitors alike.”
