Public House Group’s Narellan Hotel is gorging on the success of a good ol’ fashioned eating challenge, recently daring punters to take on the 3-kilogram bucket of ‘Grim Reaper’ chilli chicken wings.

The promotion is dubbed the Naz Man Challenge, and a follow-up to November’s offering of a 1-kilogram chicken schnitzel and toppings.

The bucket of three kilograms of “extreme heat” Grim Reaper chilli chicken wings comes complete with a glass of milk and a waiver form, for $35.

“We get large groups of guys including tradies and sports teams coming in for dinner and drinks, and we wanted to give them something more to do in venue from a food perspective,” explains Narellan Hotel general manager Blake Schill.

“After the success of our first Naz Man Challenge we wanted to go bigger and better.”

Schill reports 30-50 people each week have been ordering the challenges, and typically return to try other things on the menu.

“People love seeing their mug up on the Naz Man Challenge board,” he says.

“It’s great to see some competitive spirit in the community, and who doesn’t love an eating challenge, right?”

The Naz Man promos will continue through 2018, with next month set to offer up Mega Nachos, before March sees a return of the vanguard supercharged schnitzel.
