MITTA MITTA PUB HITS MARKET

The freeholders and operators have teamed to offer the freehold going concern of the Mitta Pub, on the banks of the striking Snowy Creek in northern Victoria.

Previously known as the Laurel Hotel, the pub resides on a block of 3,058sqm zoned Township (TZ), in Mitta Mitta, around an hour’s drive south of Albury/Wodonga.

It provides multiple bars, dining, functions and accommodation, boasting large indoor and outdoor capacity courtesy of an impressive tiered beer garden overlooking the river.

In recent years it has seen an extensive renovation, lifting its offering to its large and varied customer base.

The operation is under a general licence, trading until 1am, and reported to be a reliable all-year-round performer, with consistent trade across its multiple income streams.

A syndicate of freehold owners, predominately based around Albury, has joined with the business owners to offer the rare Victorian freehold operation.

It is said to have “plenty of avenues” for growth, notably in upping the tourism appeal, which could include brewing, distilling and coffee, and to further develop and increase the footprint and establish a “destination” venue.

“The Mitta Pub was renovated several years ago and boasts a thoughtful, modern and convenient layout and design with minimal to no capex required off the cuff,” reports CBRE Hotels’ Mat George, marketing the property.

“But the pub’s ‘pièce de résistance’ is the huge, tiered beer garden, leading from the back door and undercover dining area, down to the picturesque river, creating the best setting for functions and lazy afternoons immersed in the beauty and nature.”

The freehold going concern of the Mitta Pub is being sold via Expressions of Interest, closing Monday, 12 December.
