Locals pub group has announced it will open its massive new greenfield site the Treendale Farm Hotel in November, providing a 10,000sqm family-friendly bonanza for the locals of Australind.
The landmark, purpose-built hotel on Australind’s The Promenade, around 160 kilometres due south of Perth, has been designed to appeal to all age groups, but with a particular pitch to parents with kids.
A spacious front bar with live sports and TAB gives was to an expansive family restaurant, including three separate outdoor terraced dining areas, and no less than three dedicated children’s play areas amid landscaped lawns and gardens sporting an historic wooden boat.
The indoor children’s ‘movie and play hub’ adjoins the main restaurant, featuring a custom-made interactive 7-metre high windmill and water tank with a connecting bridge and slides.
Treendale’s modern pub menu will feature the classic favourites and pizzas, and options for vegans and vegetarians, while continuing to please the kids with their own selection.
Beside the pub will be the much-anticipated new 800sqm Liquor Superstore, boasting a huge craft beer offering including its own four-tap craft beer growler system, a focus on south-west wines and purpose-built cellar door experience, and a dual-lane high-clearance drive-thru for tradies and customers in a hurry.
The very large-scale project is the first greenfield build for Western Australia pub group Locals, which already owns and operates iconic heritage hotels the Rose Hotel in Bunbury, the Exchange Hotel in Kalgoorlie, and the Subiaco Hotel in Perth.
It has been years in the making for Locals directors Dave Allan and Lawson Douglas, who say Treendale Farm’s unpretentious focus furthers their ‘heart of the local community’ ideal.
“The pub is an important part of local life, and with a higher than average number of young families in the area Treendale offered a great opportunity to build something a bit different to the standard suburban tavern,” says Allan.
The Treendale community was first developed some years ago, with a land footprint earmarked for a hotel development. Paying homage to the farming and maritime history of the Treendale Leschenault region, residents have welcomed the news of Treendale Farm and Locals already report overwhelming community support.
“We wanted to ensure the Hotel had something for everyone and could be embraced by the people in the community as their ‘local’, as well as becoming a destination for people who are visiting the south-west.”
Hi 😀 this sounds amazing and very long over due!! Will small dogs be welcome?
Wow I can walk there & back.
As Sharon asked – will there be an al fresco area where we can take our “well behaved” dogs?
Your efforts to satisfy all our community is fab.
Can’t wait for your opening & just hope that there might be senior/pensioner specials! Hurry up, for you build it & we will come!
