Sydney live music legend the Lansdowne Hotel is taking it to the people, broadcasting talented acts over the world wide web.
Having recently celebrated 100 years entertaining Sydney-siders, The Lansdowne has partnered with Music Australia to begin Lansdowne TV to a broader audience, presented by Jack Daniel’s.
The concept is video content, only available online, that showcases homegrown talent.
The channel went live this week (13 August), as reported by Variety Australia, providing new content every two weeks that features a live act plus a DJ performance, along with Q&As with the artists.

Series 1 will play performances by Egoism, Montaigne, Pacific Avenue and Salarymen, and DJ sets from Human Movement, LO’99, Mincy and Tseba.
The format comes courtesy of creative director Billy Zammit, who boasts doing work with Gucci, Mercedes Benz, the Socceroos and City of Sydney.

After closing in 2015, in the wake of Sydney’s notorious ‘lockout’ laws, and reopened under the curation of Mary’s Burgers, The Lansdowne freehold went to market in 2023 and was purchased by a private investor for around $19 million mid-2024.
Event manager Good Intent was engaged to organise venue bookings for the 480-pax capacity pub, and cite a desire to help create opportunities for “the incredible talent we have” in Sydney and Australia more broadly.
“With LTV, we’ll broadcast this talent to the world, to excite the next generation about live music, and in turn create awareness and understanding of the importance and key role that music plays within our social, culture and economy,” says Rick Bridgman, COO of Good Intent and director of LTV.
