Jim Beam is buying a whole lot of ‘mates’ a drink, with 40 venues around the country hosting the inaugural ‘Mate of a Mate’s Day’ next Friday.
From 4-7pm on 14 December, pubs around the country (full list below) will be serving gratis Jim Beam & Cola or Highballs.
Jim Beam is the biggest-selling spirit brand in Australia and this latest instalment is an extension of its recent ongoing ‘Raised Right’ campaign, championing respect for one another.
“Jim Beam stands for togetherness, respect, unity and acceptance, and Mate of a Mate’s Day allows us to recognise and celebrate those people who share the same values as us,” says Beam Suntory marketing director Oceania Trent Chapman.
Celebrating the Aussie credo of fairness and standing up for what’s right, Chapman says the concept is a natural fit for the brand.
“‘Come as a friend, leave as family’ are the words emblazoned on the walls of our distillery in the US, but the motto very much rings true to the Aussie culture.”
The campaign will be supported with above the line advertising. (TVC below)
