IRIS INKS DEAL WITH TAB

Trailblazing hotel and hospitality developer-operator IRIS Capital has announced an exclusive partnership with TAB for the next three years.

Sam Arnaout’s IRIS is an acclaimed hotel operator and developer of both mixed-use and residential sites, championing a “passion for creating places people love”.

The group’s broad portfolio counts 32 pubs, including Sydney icons such as Hotel Steyne in Manly, Cambridge Tavern in Fairfield and General Bourke Hotel in Parramatta, as well as hotel and accommodation resorts, and two casinos – in Canberra and in Alice Springs.

IRIS’ association with TAB dates back more than 20 years. The groundbreaking three-year partnership will provide patrons access to TAB’s complete wagering experience, along with a host of exciting new features and advancements designed to enhance the in-venue experience. It also introduces more opportunities for unique events and activations across the group’s portfolio.

Claiming a history spanning more than half a century, TAB is an organisation that keeps profits in Australia, and provides considerable support for the racing industry. TAB GM of Retail and Racing Brenden Varcoe believes the deal with IRIS is a “vote of confidence” in the transformation taking place at the betting giant.

“We are revolutionising our retail experience with the deployment of modern technology across the network as part of our Next Gen TAB project and we can provide our partners with exclusive offers and markets for customers via TAB’s Venue Mode feature.”

Both organisations offer that they stand for a well-regulated gambling sector and commitment to minimising gambling harm.

IRIS COO Paul Devine says TAB fits their MO, and the collaboration will enables the group to provide a one-of-a-kind entertainment experience.

“We are backing TAB all the way, and we’re backing Australian interests and jobs.

“For us, TAB is the only wagering business that we consider meets the needs of our customers.

“Together, we will create moments that excite. In TAB we trust!”
