The Ingham-Myers brothers are selling up their two Armidale operations as they relocate back to the sunshine state with new deeds to their name.
Sam and Nick Ingham-Myers have been running the leasehold businesses of Armidale’s New England and Wicklow Hotels.
A prominent figure on main street, the New England comprises a main bar, a commercial kitchen and popular restaurant, nightclub, and gaming room with 15 EGMs, eight in smoking solution. The bar and gaming room were recently renovated.
The current lease runs another eight years, with a 10-year option.
The Wicklow similarly features a public bar, commercial kitchen and bistro, and gaming room with 15 EGMs. Located in Armidale’s commercial district, it’s sale literature details a profitable weekly turnover over $40k with upside in all departments.
It has three years remaining on the current lease, plus three five-year options.
The brothers originated from south-east Queensland, and still have ties to the area. Eager to return, they have worked and secured pubs south of Brisbane.
“We are very proud of what we have been able to achieve in both these Armidale venues in a relatively short period of time, but it is time to move back to Brisbane where our wider family support networks and primary business interests exist,” said Nick Ingham-Myers.
“The Hotels have been a great platform for us to further establish our hospitality credentials, and we have subsequently entered the freehold market in Brisbane with our recent acquisitions of the Rocklea Hotel and Karalee Tavern.”
Both the New England and Wicklow are being marketing by Ray White’s Xavier Plunkett and Blake Edwards, who expect good interest in the solid Armidale leases.
“Both venues have long leases with options and reasonable rents, 15 Poker Machines in each, and most importantly both businesses are profitable,” stated Plunkett.
“Armidale is a prosperous regional centre with great economic opportunities and cost of living advantages, particularly for those operators who desire a country lifestyle.”
The New England Hotel and Wicklow Hotel are for sale individually or in one line, via Private Treaty.
