Following a long and rigorous selection process, the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA) has announced the appointment of their new General Manager of Policy, Strategy and Industry Relations, Daniel Maloney.
Anthony Ball, GTA chair, says Maloney brings more than a decade of experience in industry engagement, strategic planning and policy development, and his leadership will be key in advancing the association’s mission and strengthening relationships across the sector.

Maloney comes to the GTA from the Minns Labor Government as a Deputy Chief of Staff and Communications Director to the NSW Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building, and Minister for Corrections.
Prior to this, Maloney held director-level positions in Stakeholder Engagement, Media, Policy and Industry at the NSW Minerals Council, UrbanGrowth NSW, the NSW Opposition, Landcom and the NSW Public Service.
Jinesh Patel, Chief Executive Officer of GTA said the association anticipates Maloney’s leadership will drive impactful initiatives at the state and national levels, showcasing the strength, innovation, and momentum of the industry.
Maloney expressed his enthusiasm about joining the GTA team during a critical moment for the industry.
“I’m also really looking forward to ensuring the GTA’s policy development, strategic vision, as well as our industry and stakeholder engagement, all align to support and enhance the gaming experience for both our members and customers,” he told PubTIC.
