GRAVITY ON THE RISE

Drinks disruptor Gravity is eyeing expansion and innovation, welcoming renowned mixologist Kurtis Bosley and inspiring draught-based pub cocktails.

Gravity is on a mission to disrupt the RTD market, declaring that “better choices don’t mean compromising on taste or experience”.

Bosley, known as the founder of Oi Hospitality Group and for @cocktailsbykurtis, his Instagram account boasting a global following of more than 45K, is an award-winning bartender and venue owner. He has now taken on part ownership of Gravity Drinks, bringing a wealth of creativity and industry insight.

He has also been named the first member of the company’s new Flavour Panel, offering his expertise to shape the brand’s drink offerings with distinctive, trend-setting flavours that resonate with modern drinkers.

The new roles reflect Bosley’s commitment to pushing boundaries in the beverage world.

“I’m thrilled to join Gravity Drinks at such an exciting time,” he says.

“This is an opportunity to blend my passion for drink design with a forward-thinking brand, and I can’t wait to dive into the Flavour Panel to create something truly unique.”

Gravity is entering its third year and reports more than 100 per cent year-on-year growth. Products are based in a bold approach to ‘better for you’ ready-to-drink premium beverages, offering low-sugar and high quality.

The company is set to benefit from the incoming influence as it continues expansion plans, pushing out in the east coast and further into South Australia and Victoria. It also tips new investors, partners, and products on the horizon.

Mid-2024 Gravity launched five per cent ABV Hard Soda Lemoncello, providing a “Zesty Lemon Vodka RTD” said to be inspired by a European summer.

Available both on tap and in cans, it has reportedly been selling out, having proven popular with consumers looking for lower-sugar alternatives.

Initially experimenting with its Seltzer product, as a “light, fruity base”, Gravity has inspired cocktails for pubs based in its draught RTD as a base. The lemoncello is said to be proving just as popular.

“We are excited for what Kurtis will bring to Gravity now and in the future, taking our range of draught offerings and using them as a base for shared cocktails and adding to our packaged products with fun cocktail recipes at home,” says Gravity’s David Ward.

“Not to mention the world of future NPD,” he adds. “We are excited to help continue to elevate the RTD drinking experience and continue the category momentum.”
