GAMING EXPO ANNOUNCED FOR AUGUST

The Gaming Technologies Association has announced dates for this year’s Australasian Gaming Expo, which is set to be yet again one of the world’s largest gaming technology events.

AGE 2015_Ferry_CM_crp_LRSet to showcase over 200 exhibitors across 17,000+ square metres of the Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island, the 2016 Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) will take place Tuesday, 9 August through to Thursday, 11 August.

Organisers of the event, the Gaming Technologies Association (GTA), report a nine per cent increase in floor space this year, as well as a new visitor’s lounge overlooking panoramic views of the harbour, and special exhibit area with previews of the 2017 show in the new Darling Harbour event centre, currently under construction.

Last year was the 26th edition of the AGE, and saw an increase of 16.5 per cent in visitors on the previous year, with the GTA’s post-show research finding attendees look to the three day event as an opportunity to network, and 93 per cent seeing it as “an opportunity to see new products and technology” in one location.

“After the 2015 event we certainly look forward to returning in 2016,” Bally Technologies marketing manager Sandra Renwick told PubTIC. “I love the way it builds on the success of the previous years.

AGE 2015_SG_CM_crp_LR“AGE is great for business and a terrific boost to our organisation. It’s a time where everyone’s hard work is on display, and it’s such a buzz to be part of it.”

The GTA’s tradition of giving away trips for two to Las Vegas each day of the Expo continues this year. 2015 saw Rod Pittorino from Gladesville’s Bayview Hotel, Liz Jacobs from the ACT’s Hellenic Club, and Gavin Hood from Skycity Auckland win flights and accommodation to the American home of gaming.

Transport to and from the island will again include the picturesque and complimentary ferry from Darling Harbour to Glebe Island, and co-ordination with Taxi services.
