Sale process has been announced on the one-and-only Burrum Heads Hotel Motel, on the Fraser Coast.
Occupying a spacious 1.29ha land holding on the main road leading into the town, the Hotel includes public bar, restaurant, gaming operation with 12 EGMs, drive-through bottleshop, managers residence and six motel rooms.
A courtesy bus operates five days a week, providing transport for patrons to and from, which is included in the sale, and a plot of excess land is also available.
Beyond its multiple income streams, including dine-in or takeaway foodservice, the pub has no real competition in the area, given there are no other licensed hotel venues in town.
Burrum Heads is found between Bundaberg and Hervey Bay, close to 300 kilometres north of Brisbane, proximate to the world famous Fraser Island, enjoying year-round patronage.
The town counts a population of over 2,000 people, with more than 108,000 residents in the greater region.
The private owners have held the asset for coming on 23 years, and while not needing to sell, have been tempted to “test the waters” given plenty of activity in the market.
Price expectations on the pub are circa $3 million.
It is being marketed by Savills Hotels’ Leon Alaban, Christian Tsalikis and Joseph Ganim.
“This property will appeal to a range of operators looking to purchase a ‘sea change’ coastal asset located within Queensland’s Fraser Coast, just moments from the water’s edge,” says Alaban.
The freehold going concern of the Burrum Heads Hotel Motel is being sold via Expressions of Interest.
