CUB’S STIRRING ODE TO THE PUB

Carlton & United Breweries has launched a campaign in support of pubs, reminding Australians of everything they’ve missed at their beloved watering holes.

The ads focus on the things Aussies love about the pub, and their vital role in communities.

It is a product of classic photographs by Josh Robenstone, Amanda Fordyce and Lyne Burdekin, behind narration by Melbourne poet Fleassy Malay.

Its creators say the result is an homage to the pubs … “the people that frequent them … that own them, run them, and every memory that has filled them”.

“After the significant adversity the industry has faced over the past 18 months, we wanted to help remind Australians of how great the pub is, and ensure we’re all ready to support our local when we’re able to,” offers Brian Phan, CUB’s GM of marketing.

“This campaign is a small display of our admiration for Australia’s pubs and clubs, and the people who make them what they are.”
