Classic Australian brands Coopers and Volley have teamed up for an original cross-promotion, giving rise to the perfect drinking footwear – the Coopers XPA Volley.
The limited-edition sneakers are not available for purchase and can only be claimed through participating pubs and bottleshops, with XPA purchases, from this week.
“Like Volley, Coopers has a long and proud history making quality products for Australians,” explains Cam Pearce, Coopers’ director of marketing and innovation.
Coopers Brewery remains a family-owned company after six generations, since 1862, and lays claim to being Australia’s largest Australian-owned brewery.
Volley began as a tennis shoe in 1939, growing to become an Australian sneaker icon and beloved footwear brand.
The shoes feature the Coopers XPA’s distinctive purple colour and name tag, and are the product of alignment recognised between the companies’ mutual demographics.
“When we put the call out to our fans on what collaborations they’d like to see, they asked for Coopers,” said Sam Despotidis, marketing manager for Volley Australia.
“Our customers value quality and having fun with their mates, which aligns with Coopers XPA drinkers and what they value.
“The Coopers XPA x Volley deuce style sneaker is the ideal footwear for a Sunday session or beers at the pub.”
The shoes can only be acquired by purchasing a case of Coopers XPA at selected Bottle-O, Big Bargain and Cellarbrations and claiming via the Volley website (while stocks last), or by purchasing a glass of XPA at one of the 60 venues around Australia involved and receiving a scratch and win card.
Card prizes include the Volley sneakers, Coopers and Volley-designed XPA-branded socks and caps and limited edition XPA enamel pins.
