CELEBS RAISING MONEY TO HELP BARS

High-profile celebrities turned booze ambassadors Ryan Reynolds, P Diddy and David Beckham have joined forces for a mission to help licensed venues that highlights why they should stick to their regular gigs.

In the past decade it seems any A-lister with ambition is entertaining another career hustling the latest boutique liquor.

Following suit with the likes of Dan Akyroyd’s Crystal Head, Hollywood heavyweight Ryan Reynolds has become synonymous with his high-profile Aviator Gin.

Rapper Diddy is the front man for Deleon Tequila, and soccer superstar Beckham has been kicking goals with Haig Club Whisky, in which he has shares.

Released to time with Sunday’s NFL Superbowl – the biggest marketing show on earth, with ad slots selling for millions of dollars – the low-budget commercial has ridden a viral wave without forking out the coin.

The aim of the promotion is to raise $US1 million to support bars and bartenders hurt by the pandemic, which continues to rage across the USA.
