CAMDEN VALLEY INN BOOSTING BOOTS AND MINDS

Lewis Land Group’s community hub the Camden Valley Inn is hosting events to liven the lives and minds of its patrons in Sydney’s greater west.

Saturday, 21 October sees the highly anticipated return of a new initiative, with Country Music Night 2.0, promising “melodies, munchies, and merriment” amidst thigh-slapping entertainment.

A Jack Daniels neon is up for grabs on the night

The Inn is a focal point for socialising in Sydney’s south-west growth corridor. Management advises people come armed with boots and hats, and a hearty appetite for fun, food, and fabulous country music, at an evening where “the strings will strum, boots will stomp, and hearts will be set aflutter under the vast, starlit sky!”

“This year, we’re turning up the volume with more music, more fun, and more memories waiting to be made,” said Kayla Seeney, Camden Valley Inn GM.

Patrons can book a table for a seat in the mix, set for a line-up of musicians:

5pm: The soulful strings of Liam Ó Faoláin

7pm: Harmonic echoes with the Tori Darke Duo

9pm – 11:30pm: Electric energy from Brittany Maggs & Band

This event follows a recent major fundraising effort on Fathers’ Day, 3 September, where the Inn flew acclaimed wood sculptor Rob Bast from Victoria to perform a live wood sculpting exhibition.

Carving from 8:30am – 4:30pm on the Sunday, Blast, a self-taught sculptor from the Yarra Valley, demonstrated wood carving skills before live crowds, creating three unique items on the day.

Patrons watched the transformation of rough-cut logs into original pieces of art, which were then available via auction to those present.

The big-hearted pub set out with an ambitious goal to raise $25k for The Men’s Table – an organisation dedicated to fostering mental health and emotional wellbeing among men in Australia. All proceeds from the auction went to the esteemed charity.

“Father’s Day is a time to celebrate and honour the important men in our lives, and what better way to do so than through art and charitable giving,” declared Seeney.
