BOOKING BOOST: QUANDOO AND RESDIARY DISH OUT A GAME CHANGING PARTNERSHIP

Two top reservation systems, Quandoo and ResDiary, have launched a world-wide first as they join forces to help boost the hospitality industry.

The two systems have integrated to provide a comprehensive booking and management system, which will benefit both venues and customers alike, combining Quandoo’s marketplace with ResDiary’s Smart Table Management system.

At this crucial time in the hospitality landscape, the partnership will offer diners an expanded choice of venues, increasing options by 45 per cent through the addition of over 1,100 ResDiary Australian and New Zealand venues to the Quandoo platform, as well as a rewards system offering cash back.

In this current financial year, the partnership is expected to create around 1.5 million bookings, and the increased visibility to potential customers is expected to raise bookings by 20 per cent.

Venues can also benefit from the reporting functionality to track marketing strategies.

Founded twelve years ago, Quandoo was acquired by Recruit Holdings nine years ago and is currently the fastest-growing dining reservation platform.

Resdiary was recently acquired by The Access Group’s Hospitality Front of House division.

Built for and by hospitality experts, the global online table management system’s technology assists venues to attract new customers, boost reservations, minimise no-shows, and effectively manage promotions, events, and payments.

Access Group’s Colin Winning, Commercial Director of Hospitality, Front of House Division, emphasised the importance of the partnership.

“With the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, diners are becoming more selective about where they spend their money.

“Our partnership with Quandoo offers venues the opportunity to reach more diners, get additional bookings and enhance their operational efficiency.

“By integrating ResDiary’s Smart Table Management with Quandoo’s marketplace, we’re equipping venues with the tools they need to thrive,” he said.

Quandoo’s Director of Supply Strategy Philipp Heuer spoke to the importance of the timing for the industry.

“Every visitor to the Quandoo marketplace is actively looking to book a table and this partnership will help restaurants to maximise visibility and get additional bookings.

“Additional features, such as the ability for venues to customise their profile with menus and photos, along with diners being able to make instant reservations, means it’s even easier for customers to browse and book their next great meal out,” Heuer commented.

The integration involves ResDiary sending an hourly availability feed to Quandoo, ensuring both platforms are up to date.

In a time where it is critical to stay competitive, the new partnership offers ResDiary venues special deals when signing up with Quandoo, and similarly Quandoo venues will receive special deals with ResDiary.
