Australian business banking fintech Zeller has launched Bill at Table, to help hospitality businesses improve efficiency and turn over more diners.
Industry has faced rising costs and more competition for custom, and many operators are increasingly turning to technology to streamline operations and boost profitability.
Bill at Table lets waiters present diners with the digital, itemised bill, on the Zeller EFTPOS Terminal’s large-format digital display, allowing them to review and pay instantly, at the table.
The process eliminates the back-and-forth of traditional payments, reduces wait times and enhances efficiency, allowing venues to serve more customers and avoid lost revenue from diners who cannot be seated fast enough.
A time study demonstrated that from the point the bill is requested, Bill at Table was reportedly 73 per cent faster on turning over tables, compared with the regular manual billing process.
Bill at Table also provides enhanced payment acceptance, where diners are prompted about adding a tip, or the need to split the bill within a group.
Beyond features designed to enhance the diner experience, the system adds to a sustainability focus by reducing the need for paper receipts.
The Roosevelt, in Sydney’s Potts Point, has been using the system since late 2024, and reports advantages for both customers and staff.

“Bill at Table is particularly great,” says director Ben Hickey. “It’s much smoother – the bill is settled then and there and they’re off into the night – and we’re onto the next table.
“On a busy night, when we’re doing 160 covers, obviously we’re not processing that many transactions, but since people pay in groups of four or six, having the bill-splitting feature is great!”
Zeller is on a mission to reimagine business banking in Australia, enabling them to improve cashflow by using integrated tools to accept payments, manage finances and pay bills.
Bill at Table is a partnership with POS leader Impos, which has been delivering end-to-end software, hardware, payment and integration solutions for the hospitality industry since 2006.
Bill at Table is available now to all mutual and new customers of Zeller and Impos, with the companies tipping there are additional systems to come.
“In 2025, Australia’s most popular hospitality institutions are embracing technology to drive automation and improve service,” offers Zeller’s James Vatiliotis.
