Australian Venue Co. has continued its confidence in South Australia with acquisition of Adelaide’s Parkside Hotel.
Built 1958, the pub has been known as the Fountain Inn Hotel, but enters a new era courtesy of a recent renovation and new moniker of Parkside Hotel.
The remodelled venue offers a main bar, with sports on TV and a casual dining space, a large outdoor area with fireplaces and both covered and uncovered sections, dining room, and the family-friendly Bob & Olives room and kids’ play area.
The menu provides pub favourites, as well as modern dishes such as Thai Green Vegetable Curry and Malay Fried Chicken Burger, as well as kids food and drinks menus.
AVC took over operations at the historic pub Wednesday, 9 June. The group has demonstrated marked investment in the State over the last 12 months, acquiring the Robe Hotel, and doing major renovation at the Brighton Metro Hotel, set to re-open in July.
“We see the state as an important part of our investment plan,” says AVC CEO Paul Waterson.
“The Parkside Hotel is such a fantastic venue with a long history in Adelaide. AVC is really excited to welcome the team on board.”
AVC now counts a portfolio of more than 160 venues across Australia and New Zealand, which it maintains are “unique and individual”. This is achieved through the encouragement of local leadership, tailoring venues to the local communities, while supported by centralised management, including HR and marketing.
