Hurley Group’s Hotel Panorama officially opened this week, kick-starting substantial economic value for South Australia’s tourism and hospitality industries.
Creating over 150 ongoing roles across gaming, food and beverage, events and management, and accommodation, the development of the former TAFE site is the group’s largest investment to date, at $60 million, promising something different for the south of Adelaide.
The five-storey structure is a full-service destination, boasting a café, bar and restaurant centred around a sunken fire lounge, along with a gaming room and sports bar on the ground floor, with its beer garden and outdoor area featuring a seven-metre screen.
The top floor, with views of the city, ocean and Adelaide Hills, hosts two function rooms alongside a rooftop bar ‘Wonderland’, featuring a gold disco ball pizza oven alongside thoughtful seating and lighting.
In between are 77 rooms across three levels, including 26 serviced apartments and two premium suites, along with access to gym and laundry facilities.

The venue offers southern Adelaide a significantly higher event and function capacity, with multiple flexible purpose-built spaces.
Scott Oakley, Hotel Panorama general manager said the investment is one of the most significant in the city’s recent history.
“We are proud to have created a transformative destination designed to set a new benchmark for Adelaide.”
The project was a collaboration between Hurley Hotel Group and Sarah Constructions, both South Australian family businesses.
Peter Hurley, Hurley Group founder and titan of the industry, explains the opening was a major milestone for them.
“This project is about more than just a new hotel, it’s about creating jobs, supporting the local economy and delivering a venue that brings people together,” he said.
By recruiting heavily from the local market, the group continues to strengthen South Australia’s workforce while investing in future skills and career development opportunities.
