All Victorian hospitality venues are being called upon to assist the Australian Hotels Association (Vic) (AHA Vic) in its new statewide patron survey.
The first of its kind, ‘The Great Victorian Pub Survey’ will help Victorian pubs better understand their patrons’ needs and preferences.
The survey is a critical part of AHA Vic’s State of the Industry report, due to be released later this year.
Pubs are being asked to promote the survey to their patrons, regardless of whether the venue belongs to the association or not.
The aim is to reach as many patrons as possible to assist Victoria’s hospitality industry to gain valuable insights as to how better serve the public.
AHA Vic general manager of corporate and public affairs Matt Dawson urges every venue to get involved.
“This is a powerful opportunity to hear directly from patrons about what makes their local pub special. From meals to music, beer to bingo, the survey captures the changing expectations of the people who walk through our doors every day,” he said.
Free promotional materials are available to order online or by contacting Declan Williams at d.williams@ahavic.com.au or on 0449 003 755.
Participating venues will receive three posters and 100 coasters.
Patrons who complete the survey will be placed in a draw to win prizes, including one of three bar fridges.
“The better we understand what matters to our patrons, the better equipped we are to advocate, innovate, and keep pubs at the heart of Victorian life,” said Dawson.
The survey closes on 19 September.
