Following successful activations around the globe, Flight Club has landed in Sydney.
Flight Club is an innovative social darts venue concept that combines old-school entertainment with a reimagined form of darts, bringing the game into the 21st century using a patented dart tracking technology designed by the group’s in-house astrophysicist.
Opening last month in The Rocks, the $10 million fit-out carefully transformed its heritage building into a vintage fairground-themed environment, catering to up to 450 people.
Multi-player games can be played in one of twelve ‘oches’ (the line darts players stand behind when throwing) in groups of up to twelve people. Scoring is instant, keeping the games fast paced.
Table service gives the options for players to choose from a selection of share plates or full mains, as well as a carefully curated menu of drinks including signature cocktails.
The concept was first brought to Perth by NightOwl Entertainment Group.
After first experiencing it in London, NightOwl CEO David Heaton knew he had to bring Flight Club to Australia.
“We are on a mission to bring the joy of social darts to all Aussies, with plans to expand to Melbourne later this year and additional venues to follow,” he said.
Co-founder and CEO of Flight Club, Steve Moore, is thrilled with the collaboration.
“Since 2015 we’ve been fixated on getting fun-loving folk across the UK and US to play social darts, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Night Owl Entertainment to bring Flight Club to Australia,” he said.
“If the success of the Perth venues is anything to go by, we’re expecting a huge reception in Sydney, and can’t wait to celebrate the grand opening Down Under in the coming weeks.”
