Merivale has moved with the times, this week announcing the launch of Merivale At Home – a new service providing at-home food and beverage packages, and fresh produce boxes.
The Merivale At Home (MAH) concept offers the distinctive style of food and level of service synonymous with the group’s unrivalled portfolio and pool of talent, in the safety and comfort of home.
Each week MAH provides a choice of five menus, priced $70-95 for two, delivered “nearly ready to eat”, with the finishing touches easy enough for novice home cooks.
They can be accompanied with a Drinks pack, ranging from $40-115, featuring handpicked wines and pre-batched aperitifs. The group’s sommelier team, led by Frank Moreau, will be on hand to provide recommendations.
MAH represents the culmination of a project spurred by the changing environment during the COVID-19 crisis.
“Merivale At Home has been in the works for a while now, but we haven’t had the time to bring it to life,” says group CEO Justin Hemmes.
“Now, with our regular operations on hold due to government restrictions, and our chefs and sommeliers craving new creative outlets, we have been able to fast-track the launch and deliver it at a time when our guests need it most.”
Beyond franchising some Merivale menus into living rooms, the group is supporting its long-standing food suppliers and catering to its Masterchef-inspired market with home-delivered, restaurant-quality produce boxes.
The boxes include collections such as fresh fruit and vegetables from Parisi, premium meat from Havericks, and fresh seafood from Poulous Bros. They come complete with a list of recipe suggestions from Alvarez.
MAH menus come from Mr. Wong, Totti’s, Bert’s Bar & Brasserie, Fred’s and Vinnie’s Pizza. The concept expands upon ‘Pick Up at Totti’s’ – Merivale’s takeaway initiative already begun at the Royal Hotel in Bondi.
