TAB MAKING A DATE WITH A SPRING LINE-UP LIKE NO OTHER

In response to an unprecedented mash-up of anticipated sports events in coming months, Tabcorp has launched its Spring Calendar facility to connect fans and venues and events.

A year like no other has paved the way for a line-up of sport this Spring like no other. The traditionally austere Spring Racing Carnival will be accompanied this year by no less than: the French Open Tennis, NRL finals, AFL Finals, NBA playoffs, start of the NFL season, World Series Baseball, Masters Golf, and in true demonstration of the upheaval, State of Origin begins after the Melbourne Cup.

Tabcorp’s solution is the ‘Spring Calendar creator’ that syncs racing and sporting events with the user’s own calendar, with information on venues, and reminders sent automatically. It also helps connect sports fans in TAB’s virtual Locker Room, using Twilio.

TAB is inviting punters to Make a Date with Play, to manage a busy calendar of racing and sport.

The launch will see a major TVC featuring a stadium of flip-seats come to life to the modulations of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, inviting fans to ‘grab a seat’ – wherever they may be.

This theme continues with the new weekly show TAB Hot Seats, co-hosted by comedian Sam Simmons and Fox Sports presenter Andrew Barnett, discussing any- and everything on the sporting calendar.

“Regardless of whether fans can attend racing and sporting events this Spring, we want to make sure we continue to bring Australians together in whatever way we can and ensure they enjoy every moment,” says Luke Waldren, TAB’s executive GM Marketing, Customer & Product.

“That may be at the track or stadium, visiting their local TAB (in States where that’s possible) or on the couch watching live vision and chatting to their mates in the TAB Locker Room. This will be a Spring like no other and we can’t wait to see it all unfold.”

Tabcorp is also executing activity around venues throughout Spring.
