Last month, Lewis Land Group’s The Komo hosted a unique event early one Saturday morning.
The Moreton Bay venue collaborated with MilkLAB for an exclusive and unconventional event offering free plant-based coffees along with a live DJ set – starting at 6:30am.

Guests experienced a vibrant, uplifting community atmosphere at The Komo, along with spectacular views to Moreton Island.
The event tapped into the growing trend amongst younger Australians of shifting away from traditional nightlife activities to feel-good morning experiences.
Coffee was complimentary between 6:30 and 8:30am, with breakfast wraps offered for ten dollars.
Marketing & Events Manager Grace Darcy said they found that people were seeking deeper connections and more meaningful experiences, often looking past or even substituting traditional nightlife.
“The event builds on that cultural shift, and we’re excited to bring something so fun and different to The Komo,” she said.
Queensland’s Lewis Land Group, founded in 1957, includes hospitality venues The Komo, The Fiddler Hotel, Camden Valley Inn and The Belvedere Hotel in its portfolio.

“Our MilkLAB Coffee Sessions was an absolute slam dunk!” a Group spokesperson reported back to PubTIC, following the event.
“We catered to the early risers who still love a good beat and a boogie, just with a coffee in hand instead of a cocktail. We poured over 250 cups on the morning, which says it all really.
“The energy in the room was incredible, and we’re already thinking about how we can make the next one even bigger. Watch this space!”
